Job Overview

SureCare Herts is seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to assist in providing high-quality patient care. The role involves supporting healthcare professionals, delivering personal care, and ensuring the well-being of patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in providing care and support to patients.
• Take and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate).
• Help with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or doctor.
• Assist with patient mobility and transfers.
• Monitor and report any changes in patients’ conditions.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding for patients requiring assistance.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.

Essential Requirements

• Previous healthcare experience (preferred but not required).
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures (desirable).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for patients’ privacy.
• Must own a vehicle and hold a valid UK driving licence.
• GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
• Fluency in English (preferred).
