About the Role
As a Health Care Support Worker, you will join our Transition of Care Units and Discharge Lounge team. You will provide a comprehensive patient transfer and general assistance service, ensuring the safety, comfort, and dignity of patients throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Move patients by bed, trolley, or wheelchair as directed by Service Coordinators.
- Transport specimens, medicines, equipment, and furniture between wards and departments.
- Respond promptly to non-scheduled tasks and report any issues or delays.
- Assist patients in reaching hospital entrances to meet transport arrangements.
- Safely operate equipment in accordance with procedures.
- Remove deceased patients from wards following agreed protocols.
- Maintain and clean wheelchairs, beds, and trolleys; return equipment to storage areas.
