Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Direct Care (or equivalent, or working towards)
- Experience working in health or social care at Band 2 or equivalent
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations and act on own initiative
- Proven reliability and flexible approach to work
- Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner
- Driving ability to use patient vehicles when required
Desirable: NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care, prior experience with complex needs, or undertaking clinical duties such as bowel management.
Salary Details
This role offers a salary between £25,313 and £26,999 per year, pro rata, under Agenda for Change Band 3.
About the Role
This role is about more than care tasks; it’s about helping someone live a full life. As a Health Care Support Worker, you’ll support a young girl with complex health needs as she transitions from paediatric to adult care within her family home in Blaenau Gwent.
You’ll play an important part in enabling her independence and wellbeing, providing both physical and psychosocial support. Working with the Care at Home Team, you’ll also benefit from structured training and guidance, giving you the confidence to grow your skills while making a lasting difference.
