Requirements
- English and Maths qualification
- At least 1 year’s experience in a care-related role
- Genuine passion for supporting patients’ recovery and wellbeing
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and undertake training, including the Care Certificate
- Compassionate and adaptable approach in a multidisciplinary setting
Salary Details
This role offers a Band 3 salary ranging from £24,937 to £26,598 per year, dependent on experience.
About the Role
As a Health Care Support Worker, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team at Halstead Community Hospital, supporting patients in a rehab setting. Your day-to-day work will include helping patients with daily activities, assisting with rehabilitation programs, and ensuring each person feels supported and respected.
You’ll play a key part in promoting recovery and independence, while learning from senior staff and clinicians. Whether you’re experienced in community care or just starting your healthcare journey, you’ll find a nurturing space where your contribution genuinely makes a difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with rehabilitation plans that help patients regain strength and confidence
- Support personal care needs while maintaining dignity and comfort
- Provide nutritional assistance and encourage healthy routines
- Communicate changes in patients’ conditions to senior staff for timely intervention
- Work collaboratively with nurses and therapists to deliver person-centred care
- Uphold safety, compassion, and professional standards in every task
