Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ/QSF in Health Care or equivalent skills and experience
- Willingness to begin the Level 3 qualification within 3 months if not yet completed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in providing care and carrying out clinical observations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- IT literacy and confidence with digital systems
- Commitment to equality and compassionate care
Salary Details
The role offers a Band 3 pay range of £25,313 to £26,999 per year (pro rata) under the Agenda for Change pay scheme.
About the Role
This Health Care Support Worker position places you at the heart of community nursing in Rhondda Cynon Taf. You’ll be working alongside district nurses, supporting patients directly in their homes, and helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and independence. The role isn’t just about tasks; it’s about making a daily impact on lives in your community. Whether it’s carrying out vital observations or offering reassurance during a tough time, your contribution will be key in shaping quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support registered nurses by implementing patient care plans, ensuring safety and dignity in every interaction
- Carry out clinical observations that inform treatment decisions and patient wellbeing
- Work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings to provide seamless care
- Engage with patients and families to build trust and provide compassionate support
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the nursing service
