Salary Details

Starting at £22,383 up to £24,336 per year plus enhancements:

  • Weekdays: £11.45 per hour
  • Nights/Saturdays: £16.14 per hour
  • Sundays/Bank Holidays: £20.95 per hour

About the Role

As a Health Care Support Worker, you’ll make an everyday impact by helping patients feel cared for, respected, and supported. You’ll work alongside nurses and midwives carrying out essential tasks like washing, feeding, helping people move, and simply being a comforting presence to both patients and families. This role is hands-on and varied, perfect for someone who wants to learn and grow while directly improving lives. Every task you take on builds towards stronger, more compassionate care in the NHS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to patients to maintain dignity and comfort
  • Assist with mobility and daily activities to support independence
  • Monitor patient condition and promptly share observations with the team
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding to ensure proper nutrition
  • Build positive relationships with patients and families to ease anxieties
  • Keep environments clean and safe to promote wellbeing

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
