The salary for this role is between £24,937 and £26,598 a year, with full NHS benefits included.
About the Role
As a Health Support Worker at Clifton House in York, you’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing high-quality care and rehabilitation for patients on Riverfields Ward, part of the male inpatient service. Your role is all about impact. You’ll support patients living with complex mental health disorders, many with challenging backgrounds, helping them build confidence and move toward independence.
From escorting patients into the community to encouraging participation in activities, you’ll make every interaction meaningful. You’ll act as a role model, showing empathy, patience and professionalism. Training, supervision and ongoing development will support you as you grow in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care that supports patient recovery and wellbeing
- Build strong therapeutic relationships with patients and carers
- Work flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team to meet service needs
- Support assessments, interventions and therapeutic activities that make a difference
- Encourage patient involvement in their care planning and daily routines
- Promote dignity, independence and positive outcomes for patients
