Main Duties of the Job
- Provide direct support and care to patients in various areas of the Emergency Department, including Majors, Minors, Resuscitation, and Rapid Assessment and Treatment.
- Assist in ensuring patients receive compassionate, high-quality care, regardless of the fast-paced environment.
- Work collaboratively with your team to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Complete the Care Certificate training to ensure you have the necessary skills to succeed in your role. Career progression opportunities, including apprenticeships for those aspiring to become a nurse, are available.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- GCSE Maths & English, or equivalent
- NVQ Level 2 in Health Care, or equivalent
- Clinical skills such as venepuncture, blood transfusion, aseptic non-touch technique
- Previous experience in a care setting
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 in Direct Care
Skills Required:
- Competent in English – both written and verbal
- Computer literate
- Ability to work well in a team
- Adaptability to handle changing workloads
