Main Duties of the Job

Provide direct support and care to patients in various areas of the Emergency Department, including Majors, Minors, Resuscitation, and Rapid Assessment and Treatment.
Assist in ensuring patients receive compassionate, high-quality care, regardless of the fast-paced environment.
Work collaboratively with your team to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Complete the Care Certificate training to ensure you have the necessary skills to succeed in your role. Career progression opportunities, including apprenticeships for those aspiring to become a nurse, are available.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

GCSE Maths & English, or equivalent
NVQ Level 2 in Health Care, or equivalent
Clinical skills such as venepuncture, blood transfusion, aseptic non-touch technique
Previous experience in a care setting

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

NVQ Level 3 in Direct Care

Skills Required:

Competent in English – both written and verbal
Computer literate
Ability to work well in a team
Adaptability to handle changing workloads
