Job Overview
At Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, we offer award-winning mental health, community, and learning disability services that support patients holistically. In this Band 2 Health Care Support Worker role, based on Willow Ward, you will support working-age male adults with acute mental health needs on their journey to recovery, alongside a dedicated multi-disciplinary team.
Main Duties of the Job
This position does not meet the requirements for a UK Home Office-sponsored Skilled Worker Visa. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Provide patient-centered support to adults on Willow Ward under the supervision of registered nurses and mental health professionals.
- Collaborate with a committed team to deliver high-quality care that aligns with Trust values of caring, listening, and delivering.
- Support each patient’s journey to recovery through empathy and skilled care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Training Requirements
- Essential: NVQ2 training or equivalent experience; commitment to all mandatory training
- Desirable: NVQ III in care or modules relevant to the role, willingness to enhance skills, experience in mental health care or the 3rd sector
Person Specification
Experience
- Essential: Experience in a caring environment (professionally or at home), particularly with mental health care
- Desirable: Evidence of experience in a caring environment, voluntary experience, and skills in public-facing roles
