Requirements
- Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) with HEE certification
- Experience working with children, young people, and families
- Skills in delivering therapeutic interventions like CBT
- Ability to assess risk and keep clear, accurate records
- Willingness to travel to schools across the area
Salary Details
Band 5, £29,970 to £36,483 per year, with pay progression based on experience.
About the Role
You’ll join the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Cambridge, working across schools to provide early interventions for young people facing mild to moderate mental health challenges. Think anxiety, low mood, or behavioural issues. Your work will help shape a whole-school approach to wellbeing, making sure every child gets the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to children, young people, and families, helping them manage mental health challenges
- Work with schools to promote mental health awareness and create supportive environments
- Keep detailed records and use data to improve services
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings to ensure the best outcomes for young people
- Stay up-to-date with training and best practices in mental health support
