Requirements
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians or equivalent
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician
- ACPT qualification
- HEE Medicines Optimisation accreditation or equivalent
- Previous experience in a busy pharmacy environment
- Comfortable using pharmacy labelling and stock systems
- Positive approach to following SOPs and handling confidential data

The salary range for this full-time position is 31,944 to 34,937 GBP annually, aligned with NHS pay scales and experience.
About the Role
This role is your chance to step into something meaningful. Barts Health is looking for a detail-focused Pharmacy Technician to support their HIV homecare service. You’ll be the vital link between homecare providers, patients, and the clinical team. You’ll help patients understand their treatments, keep prescriptions flowing smoothly, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate repeat prescription services for HIV patients, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Support the clinical technician and specialist pharmacist across medicines management tasks
- Liaise with homecare providers and patients to ensure treatments are delivered without disruption
- Process invoices and order requests with precision and speed
- Educate and counsel patients on medicine use to build understanding and trust
- Handle homecare queries and dispensary duties when needed, keeping the system moving
