Job Description

They are looking for individuals with a passion for care service. The role of a care worker involves performing duties and tasks to facilitate service users living at home in a safe, secure, and comfortable way. Care workers must be aware of the needs and requirements of the service users and communicate effectively with them and other stakeholders such as family, friends, and healthcare professionals. Care workers are responsible for alerting supervisors of any changes or causes for concern in the service users’ conditions and reporting relevant information. The role requires physical and emotional commitment, and genuine care for the welfare of others is essential.

Main Duties

  • Assist service users with daily activities such as getting up, dressing, washing, bathing, showering, oral care, grooming, and toileting.
  • Use manual handling equipment as specified.
  • Work with other care professionals such as District Nurses and GPs.
  • Assist with prescribed medication.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
  • Perform general household duties, bed making, laundry, and shopping.
  • Keep accurate records of care visits and proper documentation of tasks conducted.
  • Submit timesheets, logbooks, and other paperwork to the office.
  • Attend regular refresher and skill enhancement trainings and meetings as required.

  • Ability to understand the role’s requirements and follow instructions.
  • Ability to attend all service user calls and cope with emergency and difficult situations.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of care provision.
