Job Summary

ICare Group is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to join our team. As a Home Care Worker, you will provide vital care and support to individuals in their own homes, enhancing their quality of life. This role offers flexibility with shift patterns and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable people. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing care, have a positive attitude, and be committed to delivering high-quality services. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining client dignity and comfort.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and shopping.
  • Offer companionship, providing emotional support and reducing social isolation.
  • Conduct regular wellbeing checks to ensure clients’ needs are met and they are safe and comfortable.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding client privacy, health, safety, and care standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care processes.

Technical Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • No formal qualifications required; training will be provided.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to obtain work-related car insurance.
  • Must be willing to undergo necessary background checks.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care role (preferred, but not essential).
  • Care Certificate (desirable but will be provided if not already held).

  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, and adapt to the needs of clients.
  • Diligence and professionalism in providing care and completing wellbeing checks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, supportive demeanor.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in domiciliary or home care.
  • Knowledge of elderly care and common medical conditions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
