Requirements
- GCSE English or equivalent (Level 2 Literacy, ESOL, etc)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Hands-on experience at Band 3 or similar level within mental health settings
- Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working within a fast-moving team during a crisis response
- Willing to complete all mandatory training
- Bonus points for healthcare/social care/housing support qualifications
Salary Details
This role pays £31,081 – £33,665 annually, depending on experience, with access to NHS pay progression and benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Support service users experiencing acute mental health crises within their homes
- Assist in care planning and ongoing evaluations with trained team members
- Deliver direct and indirect care under minimal supervision
- Help the team run their 24/7 service smoothly (no night shifts)
- Build professional relationships with service users while maintaining strong boundaries
- Escalate concerns and changes in patient conditions quickly and appropriately
- Document your input clearly, accurately, and promptly
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This position requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A background check will be submitted to the DBS to verify any prior criminal convictions.
