Requirements
- At least 1 year of proven care experience
- Full UK driving licence with access to your own car
- Strong empathy and compassion in daily practice
- A team-focused approach with good listening skills
- A positive outlook and professional attitude
- Willingness to lead by example in the community
Salary Details
Starting at £12.82 per hour across weekdays and weekends, with an extra £2.10 for every house visited, plus guaranteed 39 hours a week.
About the Role
This Homecare Assistant role gives you the chance to make a tangible difference every single day. You’ll be helping people live independently in their own homes while providing respectful, person-centred support. From preparing meals and assisting with daily routines to administering medication and coordinating with healthcare professionals, your presence will bring both comfort and confidence to those who need it most. The role also values continuity, so clients and their families see familiar, trusted faces instead of a revolving door of carers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide home care and personal support that enables clients to live with dignity
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and other personal care needs
- Prepare meals and ensure nutrition is supported at the right times
- Manage household duties such as laundry and shopping to ease daily living
- Administer and organise medications to maintain health and safety
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to create joined-up care
- Keep clear, accurate notes that reflect the quality of care given
