What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning engaging, age-appropriate play activities for children aged 0–18
- Using distraction and therapeutic play to ease anxiety during procedures
- Creating a safe, clean and welcoming play environment
- Working alongside nurses, doctors and therapists to support recovery
- Documenting your work and contributing to care planning
- Helping children understand what to expect in hospital through play and conversation
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Childcare qualification – essential for further training
- GCSEs in English and Maths
- Experience working with children, ideally in healthcare or education
- Genuine interest in emotional wellbeing and development
- Team player with strong communication and empathy
