Requirements

• Strong hands-on knowledge of MS Windows OS, SQL, LAN/WAN infrastructure
• Working experience with virtual server environments like Hyperconverged infrastructure
• Comfortable with desktop/mobile platforms including Win10, iOS, Android
• Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Firewalls, VPNs
• Clear understanding of data protection and cyber security standards
• Excellent communication and ability to work both independently and in a team
• Evidence of professional development or A-Level equivalent qualification
• Willingness to join on-call rota after initial training

Salary Details

This role is aligned with NHS Band 6 equivalent pay, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.

About the Role

This isn’t your average infrastructure gig. Under the wing of the ICT Infrastructure and Development Manager, you’ll help shape and support the tech landscape of healthcare environments across the East Midlands. That means solving problems on the ground, setting up new systems in data centres, and keeping critical networks ticking across multiple locations.

Whether it’s configuring the next-gen tech, resolving real-time issues, or keeping systems secure and current, this role has reach. You’ll also dip into infrastructure improvements, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity efforts. Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for server and network infrastructure at multiple locations
• Install and configure hardware to meet safety and technical standards
• Troubleshoot network issues that impact daily healthcare operations
• Join the on-call rota post-training to keep systems running 24/7
• Document operational procedures to support team continuity
• Participate in cyber security protocols and data protection compliance
• Contribute to disaster recovery and continuity planning for mission-critical systems
• Support training and onboarding for new systems and tools
