Requirements

  • Degree level qualification in ICT or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure support, networks, and hosting environments
  • Proven experience configuring servers, VMware ESXi, and Windows Server systems

  • Excellent communication skills, explaining technical details to non-technical users

About the Role

As an ICT Infrastructure Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in deploying and maintaining the systems that keep emergency services running smoothly. You’ll be supporting the implementation of a new Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, ensuring it’s resilient, secure, and fit for the future. Every decision you make and every fix you apply will directly influence how effectively the Trust delivers critical services. This isn’t just IT support, it’s work that saves lives through reliable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure infrastructure to ensure systems are stable and resilient for emergency use
  • Support disaster recovery planning so services can continue even in unexpected scenarios
  • Provide third line technical expertise during incidents, resolving issues that impact operations
  • Maintain technical documentation for clarity and consistency across teams
  • Monitor infrastructure performance to identify risks before they affect service delivery
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to deliver seamless digital solutions
  • Uphold NHS Digital standards to ensure compliance and patient data protection
