Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ICT Server Analyst to join the ICT Server Team at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. This team is responsible for managing and supporting the Trust’s Server and Storage Infrastructure across multiple sites.
The role involves day-to-day administration and management of ICT systems, requiring a strong breadth and depth of ICT knowledge. The successful candidate will work independently and must have a solid understanding of the Trust’s complex ICT environment.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in a broad range of ICT operating systems and applications, including but not limited to:
- Microsoft Windows
- Linux
- VMWare
- MSSQL
- Cache
- Microsoft SCCM
Main Duties and Responsibilities
System Maintenance and Administration
- Ensure business continuity by maintaining critical systems and addressing both planned and unplanned service interruptions efficiently.
- Provide strategic operational support for the Trust’s IT systems located in:
- University Hospital of North Tees (UHNT)
- University Hospital of Hartlepool (UHH)
- Peripheral Trust locations
- Develop and document administration tasks and management strategies for ICT systems.
Technical Support and Project Management
- Serve as the primary ICT contact for system infrastructure and core specialist software applications.
- Provide specialist advice and investigate complex IT issues.
- Lead and manage ICT projects involving system implementation and design.
- Develop and document administration procedures and policies for Trust-wide ICT systems.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential:
- Educated to Degree level or has substantial relevant work experience in an ICT-related environment.
Desirable:
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) / Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification.
Skills and Aptitudes
Essential:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to investigate and diagnose complex ICT system problems.
Experience
Essential:
- Knowledge and experience in:
- Microsoft operating systems
- Active Directory
- SQL databases
- VMWare and Horizon VDI
- Enterprise backup solutions
- Enterprise storage solutions
Desirable:
- Experience with:
- Unix/Linux operating systems
- Microsoft SCCM
- Avamar backup and restore solutions
- Enterprise storage platforms such as Isilon, VNX, Unity, and PowerStore
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
