Marquette University is pleased to announce its CyberCorps Scholarship for Service (SFS) grant, totaling $2.6 million, awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). This prestigious grant empowers Marquette to offer scholarships to qualified students interested in pursuing graduate studies in cybersecurity through the CyberWIN program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States.
  • Participation in most program studies must be in-person.
  • Applicants must meet the qualifications for one of the following tracks:
  1. Master of Science (MS) in Computer and Information Science with a specialization in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense (IACD).
  2. Accelerated Degree Program (ADP), combining a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with the MS IACD specialization over 5 years.
  3. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science, focusing on cybersecurity coursework and research.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Full tuition coverage.
  • Academic year stipends of $25,000 for undergraduate students and $34,000 for graduate students.
  • Professional allowance of $6,000 annually for cybersecurity training, certifications, career fairs, and related activities.
  • Mentorship from Marquette faculty and government cybersecurity experts.

Scholarship Obligations:

  • Upon program completion, scholars must work for a period equivalent to the scholarship duration in a cybersecurity role within an executive agency or another approved government entity.
  • During the scholarship period (2 or 3 years), scholars are expected to:
  • Maintain good academic standing.
  • Complete a summer internship with a government agency.
  • Engage in cyber training and competitions with the Marquette CyberEagles team for at least one semester.
  • Conduct research through a Master’s or PhD thesis.
  • Participate in community outreach events.
