Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an International Fellowship post in Older Adult Psychiatry, designed for experienced psychiatrists working toward GMC Specialist Registration via the Portfolio Pathway. The post is based in Barrow-in-Furness, and includes Skilled Worker visa sponsorship and potential GMC sponsorship, subject to meeting all required criteria

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work within the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)
  • Carry out initial assessments, follow-up care, and multi-agency referrals
  • Collaborate with aligned mental health services across the Bay area
  • Supported pathway towards Section 12 approval
  • Opportunity to join the Out of Hours On-Call rota (with additional pay)

Essential Criteria:

  • Completed IELTS (7.0+ in all sections, 7.5 overall) or OET (Grade B in all areas) within the last 18 months
  • Practicing as a psychiatrist in at least 3 of the last 5 years
  • Meets all essential requirements as outlined in the Person Specification
  • Clinical knowledge and experience aligned to older adult psychiatry
