Job Overview

Nakodag Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the redevelopment of Internal Ratings-Based (IRB) models as part of financial institutions’ regulatory compliance initiatives. The role involves developing predictive models that influence automated decision-making, capital requirements, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of predictive models for capital requirements and loss estimations.
• Ensure compliance with internal development standards and regulatory requirements, including models for Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), and Exposure at Default (EAD).
• Conduct complex data analysis to enhance risk management strategies.
• Guide team members in extracting, transforming, and cleaning data for modelling and analysis.
• Develop risk segmentation strategies to enhance portfolio risk management.
• Ensure compliance with financial institutions’ policies regarding data access and use.
• Collaborate with Business, Finance, and Risk teams to align analytical outputs with organizational needs.
• Lead discussions with regulatory bodies for ongoing model validation and review.
• Provide expert advice on risk management and regulatory compliance.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in model development/validation, risk modelling, or decision support modelling.
• Experience with IRB, IFRS 9, loss forecasting, stress testing, or economic capital modelling.
• Bachelor’s degree (2:1 or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, IT, or Computing.

Technical Skills

Essential:

• Advanced proficiency in SAS or SQL (experience in Python, R, or MATLAB is also considered).
• Strong expertise in data extraction, transformation, and cleaning for modelling.
• Experience in writing technical documentation that meets regulatory and compliance standards.
