They’re big on Agile and XP principles, so expect pair programming, CI/CD pipelines, and the kind of iterative progress that keeps things fresh. If you enjoy switching gears between front end (think JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX) and backend design patterns, this one’s for you.
Plus, you won’t just write code and hand it off. You’ll shape solutions end-to-end, configuring servers like Tomcat, using Jenkins, and managing builds with Maven or Gradle. You’ll make choices that matter and see them live in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Build web apps using JavaScript, JQuery, and Dojo for modern UI experiences
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Git-based tools
- Work Agile, do pair programming, and help the team stay fast and focused
- Configure and fine-tune Weblogic, WebSphere, JBoss, and Tomcat servers
- Handle builds and source control with Maven, Gradle, Git, SVN, and BitBucket
- Develop secure, performant backend logic using Java/J2EE best practices
- Dive into database development with SQL, PL/SQL, and maintain clean schemas
