About the Opportunity

We are seeking a New Initiatives Sales Manager, A365 to play a foundational role in driving the growth of Altium 365. This role requires a strategic and consultative approach to understand our customers’ challenges and goals deeply. You will lead a team of sellers, positioning new products on our Cloud Platform to both prospective and existing accounts. Your expertise will be critical in our Cloud go-to-market strategy, and you will be a key leader in the A365 Sales Organization.

A Day in the Life of Our Sales Manager, A365

  • Sales Management: Manage and assure the profitability of sales for Altium 365.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, develop, and train account managers and business development representatives.
  • Customer Engagement: Manage key accounts, handle problem accounts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Strategy: Drive the sales planning process, establish targets, and provide bookings forecasts.
  • Performance Improvement: Develop data-based strategies and use metrics to drive performance improvement.
  • Customer Visits: Promote strategic relationships and identify new business opportunities through regular customer visits.
  • Negotiation and Pricing: Manage pricing within the territory to control profitability.
  • Sales Execution: Lead the team to produce profitable sales and coach them to close deals independently.
  • Strategic Direction: Develop sales strategies, expand business, and maintain a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Align activities with other business partners and keep informed of industry activity.
  • Organizational Development: Assess and optimize the sales organization, focusing on team development and commercial skills training.

Who You Are and What You’ll Need

  • Experience: 5+ years in direct sales and working with customers to support a technical product/service.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications, or a technical field.
  • Customer Relationships: Proven ability to build long-term and successful customer relationships.
  • Technical Knowledge: Significant knowledge of design software or related technology.
  • Solution-Oriented: Ability to synthesize unique requirements and suggest smart solutions.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated sound business judgment and successful negotiation skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in MS Office, the internet, and Salesforce.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 70%, including overnight travel.
