About the Role
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in both the management team and in hands-on care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing care and supervision in the home.
- Completing management tasks during assigned supernumerary time.
- Leading shifts and supporting both day and night teams during handovers.
- Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and meals.
- Supporting management functions such as supervisions, observations, rota planning, medication audits, and end-of-month medication management.
Responsibilities:
- Attend staff meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs of the home.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, reducing the risk of abuse or neglect for adults in need of care.
- Adhere to fire procedures and health and safety legislation.
- Complete all required training as determined by the home.
About You

- Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and the management team.
- Previous Experience: Experience in a care home environment is desirable but not essential.
- Committed and Organized Approach: A dedication to providing the best care and support.
- Flexibility: Ability to work shifts, including weekends.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 as a minimum (or working towards).
- Availability: Willingness to work on-call within the management team.
