About the Role

As a nurse at The Fountains Care Centre, you will be responsible for the physical, psychological, and social needs of our residents, treating them as you would your own family. Your role includes:

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Residents Care Plans: Develop and update care plans in conjunction with residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with NMC guidelines and company policies.
  • Managing Nurses: Oversee and manage the nursing team.
  • Medication Management: Conduct medication rounds and maintain accurate documentation in line with NMC guidelines and company policy.
  • Health Supervision: Assess all aspects of residents’ care needs and provide direct nursing care when required.
  • Ill Health Reporting: Report any ill health among residents and arrange GP/professional visits as necessary.
  • Regular Checks: Perform regular checks on residents and complete associated paperwork.
  • Reporting: Communicate effectively with the Home Manager.
  • Policy Implementation: Understand and ensure the implementation of company policies.
  • Safe Practices: Promote safe working practices within the care centre and maintain detailed documentation.

Other Duties:

  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home.
  • Encourage and support staff in their development and training.
  • Understand and adhere to safeguarding responsibilities, ensuring adults are protected in a way that respects their choice and control.
  • Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation.
  • Complete all required training.

About You

We are looking for kind and caring individuals who are committed to making a difference in people’s lives. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Registered NMC Pin Code
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and the management team.
  • Previous Experience: Experience in a care home environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Organised Approach: A commitment to providing the best care and support.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work shifts, including weekends.

Working Hours

  • Shift Hours: 8.00 AM – 8.00 PM
  • Days per Week: 2 days per week
