Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
• Strong proficiency in Python programming language
• Experience in technical roles in health data engineering and analytics
• Experience implementing or working with the OMOP Common Data Model
• Knowledge of reproducible code and CI/CD practices
• Advanced understanding of data science and statistical techniques for healthcare data
• Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and develop diverse teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development of NLP pipelines to extract structured information from various clinical text sources
• Manage and coordinate a team of NLP engineers and data scientists to standardize clinical text processing
• Design advanced NLP solutions using state-of-the-art language models while ensuring patient privacy
• Integrate extracted insights from clinical text into existing workflows and decision support systems
• Balance performance, cost, and accuracy when optimizing NLP pipelines for healthcare applications
• Develop and implement novel LLM-based solutions for clinical applications
• Build robust, scalable architectures for deploying LLM systems across the hospital network
• Create effective knowledge retrieval strategies from diverse clinical sources
• Collaborate with clinical teams to identify and solve complex healthcare challenges
• Guide the evaluation of both commercial and open-source LLMs for specific clinical use cases
