Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language
- Experience in technical roles in health data engineering and analytics
- Experience implementing or working with the OMOP Common Data Model
- Knowledge of reproducible code and CI/CD practices
- Advanced understanding of data science and statistical techniques for healthcare data
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and develop diverse teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development of NLP pipelines to extract structured information from various clinical text sources
- Manage and coordinate a team of NLP engineers and data scientists to standardize clinical text processing
- Design advanced NLP solutions using state-of-the-art language models while ensuring patient privacy
- Integrate extracted insights from clinical text into existing workflows and decision support systems
- Balance performance, cost, and accuracy when optimizing NLP pipelines for healthcare applications
- Develop and implement novel LLM-based solutions for clinical applications
- Build robust, scalable architectures for deploying LLM systems across the hospital network
- Create effective knowledge retrieval strategies from diverse clinical sources
- Collaborate with clinical teams to identify and solve complex healthcare challenges
- Guide the evaluation of both commercial and open-source LLMs for specific clinical use cases
- Establish best practices for text preprocessing, annotation, and quality assurance
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and technical excellence
