Requirements

  • Educational background in Counselling, Psychology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy.
  • Registered or accredited as a counsellor, psychotherapist, or counselling psychologist with a recognized professional body (e.g., BACP).
  • Expert knowledge of children and young people.
  • Experience in Further/Higher Education teaching is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, including visual learning environments and remote teaching platforms.

Salary Details

The salary for this position ranges from £38,205 to £42,978 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching, assessment, and related activities, primarily on MSc programmes in Counselling Children and Young People and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. The role involves interdisciplinary scholarly activities aimed at enhancing the Faculty’s impact and profile. Applicants with expertise in children and young people will find this position particularly aligned with their skills and interests. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
