Requirements
- Good standard of education, ideally math and English at GCSE grade C or above
- Comfortable supporting clinical teams with coordination and admin tasks
- Capable of learning fast and handling sensitive information
- Confident communicator with the ability to triage, document, and escalate
- Familiarity with cancer waiting list targets and NHS systems is a plus
- Experience working across multi-professional teams

This role offers 26,530 to 29,114 per year, aligned with NHS pay bands and subject to experience.
About the Role
This is a real chance to join a team where every phone call, record, and conversation matters. As a Malignant Haematology Cancer Care Coordinator, you’ll be supporting patients through the uncertainty of blood cancer diagnoses and treatment. From managing referrals to tracking care pathways, you’ll help move things forward for patients and their families.
They’re looking for someone who can build strong relationships with both patients and clinicians, coordinate critical information, and keep things on track. You’ll have direct contact with patients and use your organisation and empathy to make their care experience smoother. Every day offers something new and important.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for patients and families during treatment
- Coordinate appointments and referrals across the Haematology Malignant Pathway
- Support Clinical Nurse Specialists through timely communication and updates
- Handle patient queries, triaging calls and directing them appropriately
- Collect and document patient data for audits and reviews
- Track cancer care timelines and flag delays to the appropriate teams
- Ensure confidentiality and accurate data handling at all times
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a DBS check due to contact with vulnerable individuals under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
