Requirements:
- NVQ level or equivalent level of education, training or experience
- GCSE Maths Grades A-C, Levels 4-9, Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Health care or equivalent experience
- Commitment to undertake in-house training

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

About the Role
As a Maternity Support Worker at Northampton General Hospital, you’ll play a crucial role in assisting and supporting midwives and the wider multidisciplinary team. Your primary focus will be on providing safe, holistic, and woman-centered care. The position is rotational, offering you the chance to work in various clinical settings, including antenatal inpatient or outpatient care, intrapartum inpatient care, and postnatal inpatient and outpatient care.
You’ll be working under the supervision of midwives, who are ultimately responsible for the care of mothers and newborns. The hospital is committed to providing appropriate training for each clinical setting, ensuring you’re well-equipped to handle the diverse challenges of maternity care.
