About the Role
As an MSK Podiatrist, you’ll join a forward-thinking orthotics department delivering high-quality, specialist care. This isn’t a generic MSK job. You’ll focus solely on the orthotic assessment, prescription, and ongoing management of foot orthoses.
You’ll run outpatient clinics across Shropshire and collaborate with orthotists and technicians at their onsite workshop. Your work helps restore comfort, function, and mobility for patients with complex needs. And you’ll be more than a cog in the wheel – you’ll be a key part of evaluating new workforce approaches in orthotic care.
It’s ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on clinical work, wants to be part of a team shaping future care models, and is ready for something truly impactful.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and prescribe custom or stock foot orthoses
- Work alongside orthotists in joint and independent outpatient clinics
- Review and refine patient treatments to ensure optimal orthotic outcomes
- Support innovation in dynamic workforce pathways for orthotic delivery
- Use their onsite facility to collaborate on custom-built orthoses
- Travel to and from three local clinic sites as needed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient communication
- Contribute to team development through shared learning and feedback
