• City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in plumbing
• Strong understanding of hot and cold water systems and drainage
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own tasks
• Keen interest in learning within a healthcare setting

Salary Details

This Band 5 role offers £37259 to £45356 per annum under the Agenda for Change pay scheme.

About the Role

This role suits someone who likes solving practical problems and keeping essential services running without fuss. You’ll look after plumbing systems across the hospital estate and lend a hand with general maintenance when needed. You’ll repair, install, and maintain systems that keep water flowing safely. Every task supports patient care and helps clinical teams deliver their work without interruption. You’ll plan your workload, respond to urgent issues, and keep clear records through their CAFM system. You’ll also communicate with staff and visitors in a friendly and reassuring way. If you enjoy being the person who steps in, fixes issues, and keeps things moving, this could be a strong next step.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs to keep water systems safe
• Complete planned maintenance so the estate stays compliant
• Support wider building maintenance when extra hands are needed
• Use the CAFM system to record work so teams stay informed
• Respond to urgent calls to reduce disruption across the site
• Escalate risks that could affect operations to protect patient care
• Keep up to date with regulations so work meets all standards
