Job Summary
The Centre of Interventional Paediatric Psychopharmacology and Rare Diseases (CIPPRD) provides specialist mental and physical health care for children and young people with complex neuropsychiatric disorders and rare diseases. The service integrates innovative interventions, patient involvement, and digital therapeutics to enhance clinical care.
The Clinical Data Analyst will play a key role in optimizing the digital health platform, ensuring it aligns with NHS standards and contributes to clinical analytics, service evaluation, and development. The role is within a multidisciplinary team that includes consultant psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, specialty doctors, and research professionals.
This service also houses the world’s first Centre for Rett Syndrome, providing neuropsychiatric services for patients across their lifespan.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical data analytics within the CIPPRD structure to enhance digital therapeutics in routine care.
- Coordinate and manage data systems and processes to maximize the clinical use of digital health technologies.
- Deliver high-quality data analytics for service evaluation and development.
- Work closely with the Head of Service & Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and collaborate with other analysts, researchers, and clinical professionals.
- Ensure data management aligns with NHS guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to clinical research, audits, and service improvements.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential:
- First degree in psychology, bioinformatics, or data science.
Desirable:
- Additional training in psychological practice, bioinformatics, or data science (PG Diploma or equivalent).
Experience
Essential:
- Experience receiving clinical supervision across various client needs.
- Experience working with diverse communities (through work, research, volunteering, or lived experience).
- Experience in psychophysiological recording and digital health care.
- Experience analyzing clinical population datasets.
- Experience managing data collection and clinical data related to child and adolescent neuropsychiatric disorders.
- Experience communicating with children with disabilities and their families.
Desirable:
- Experience developing and conducting research projects.
Knowledge & Understanding
Essential:
- Theoretical knowledge of psychopathology and relevant treatment approaches.
- Knowledge of psychological and psychophysiological assessment methods.
- Postgraduate or Doctoral-level knowledge of psychological research methodology and complex statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of data management, advanced statistical software, and their application to relevant fields.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative statistical skills.
- Understanding of factors affecting mental health care accessibility and acceptability.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of mental health legislation, including child and adult protection laws.

- Ability to perform clinical data analytics for psychophysiological and digital health assessment.
