  • NMC Nursing Associate (Child) registration
  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree qualification
  • Maths & English GCSEs A–C, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications

Salary Details

This full-time role offers a yearly salary between £31,944 and £34,937, aligned with your experience and NHS banding.

About the Role

As a Nurse Associate, you’ll support children with complex respiratory needs—many with tracheostomies and ventilators—preparing them for life beyond hospital walls. No two days are the same, and each child’s journey brings new lessons. Whether you’ve already got experience or are just starting to specialise, they’ll invest in you. You’ll be trained, supported, and challenged to grow in a unit that feels more like a second family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal and clinical care to children with complex needs
  • Work closely with families, empowering them to care confidently at home
  • Support teaching sessions for parents and carers
  • Collaborate with the Leopard Ward and Respiratory Sleep Unit to ensure continuity of care
  • Uphold trust values in every interaction
  • Participate in reflective practice and team learning

This role falls under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. You’ll need to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check to assess any past criminal convictions.
