About the Role

This isn’t just another assistant role. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner, you’ll be right at the heart of helping people with complex psychosis regain their independence. You’ll work side-by-side with an experienced Occupational Therapist, bringing therapeutic activities to life across group and one-on-one settings. Your day might include co-facilitating assessments, designing recovery-focused sessions, or helping someone take a meaningful step toward stability and confidence.
What sets this apart is the impact. You’re not clocking in and out — you’re part of a supportive work environment where every action matters. You’ll need to be flexible, patient, and creative. But if that sounds like your kind of challenge, this could be your moment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support therapeutic activities across both group and individual sessions
  • Assist in occupational assessments and follow-up interventions
  • Promote independence for patients managing complex mental health conditions
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team focused on rehabilitation and recovery
  • Handle unpredictable situations with calm, compassionate professionalism
  • Build rapport with service users, families, and carers to strengthen care plans
