Main Duties and Responsibilities
As an OT in our Stroke and Neuro Therapy Team, you will:
- Provide specialist neurological rehabilitation services, covering inpatient stroke and neuro rehab, early supported discharge, and outpatient rehabilitation.
- Work as part of a large, friendly, and dynamic team across various sites, delivering specialist, client-centered rehabilitation.
- Utilize your technical skills to assess and treat your caseload of stroke and neurological patients.
- Participate in flexible working programs across the organization to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Receive supervision and training to support your professional development within a supportive environment.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council.
- A minimum of 12 months of acute clinical experience, including older people’s medicine, frail elderly, neurology, and trauma and orthopedics.
- Experience in team or service development, as well as supporting and supervising junior therapists, students, and assistants.
- A good understanding of current legislation and its application to Occupational Therapy.
