Requirements

• Experience working in online or networking systems on at least one published title
• Genuine passion for multiplayer experiences and creating smooth player interactions
• Solid understanding of code architecture and best engineering practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proven ability to meet goals and work collaboratively
• Enthusiasm for gaming and continuous learning

Desirable:

• Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
• Background in web development or socket-level programming

About the Role

As an Online Engineer, you’ll design and implement innovative networking solutions that bring multiplayer worlds to life. From matchmaking to in-game commerce, your work ensures that every player enjoys a seamless and engaging experience. You’ll collaborate with designers and technical teams to deliver scalable systems, while also championing online quality across the studio.

This role goes beyond coding. It’s about building reliable systems that connect players and sustain unforgettable experiences. You’ll experiment, learn, and refine your craft every day with the support of talented peers who share your drive for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust online systems that keep multiplayer features reliable and smooth
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test scalable online features
• Work with APIs and services such as PSN, Xbox Live, Steam, PlayFab, and OpenMatch to deliver platform features
• Establish and refine core online features like matchmaking, friends, and in-game purchases
• Champion quality and best practices in every part of online service development
• Contribute to team learning by sharing ideas, improving workflows, and helping others grow
