About the Role
This role sits within the paediatric diabetes team, supporting children and young people from diagnosis through clinic visits until their move to adult services. You’ll guide families as they learn equipment, routines and confidence in managing diabetes. You’ll also support ward teams and help them stay up to date with diabetes care and technology.
The days are varied. One moment you’re explaining equipment to a parent who’s still in shock and the next you’re helping a teenager find their rhythm with self care. Your presence helps reduce fear and builds independence. You’ll work closely with nurses, dietitians, consultants and educators who will treat you like part of the core team. If you enjoy meaningful work and steady collaboration, this team feels like home.
Key Responsibilities
