Job Description
The Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL is seeking a part-time Lecturer in Design Technology for the BSc Architecture ARB/RIBA Part 1 program. This role involves coordinating and teaching the Design Technology module, focusing on architectural structures, construction, and sustainability in the built environment. Responsibilities include developing and delivering lectures, ensuring module compliance with ARB/RIBA criteria, marking coursework, and participating in examination boards. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of over 400 staff members, contributing to an innovative educational environment.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in teaching design technology to undergraduate architecture students.
  • Strong knowledge of structural principles, loads, construction strategies, and sustainability.
  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials.
  • Understanding of social and environmental justice principles in building design.
  • Experience in promoting innovative teaching strategies that enhance student learning.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: £51,474 – £60,521 per year
