Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade 4+ or equivalent, or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Community Development or similar
  • Experience of engaging with patients, carers, public groups, or communities
  • Strong background in building partnerships and working with diverse stakeholders
  • Confident using digital and social media to reach communities
  • Excellent communication skills, able to adapt to sensitive or complex situations

Salary Details

The salary for this role is 27,485 to 30,162 per year, aligned with NHS pay scales and experience.

About the Role

This role centres on supporting perinatal mental health services through meaningful engagement and participation. By working closely with families, carers, and community groups, you’ll make sure their voices are heard in shaping services. You’ll create opportunities for involvement, build trust with diverse communities, and help break down barriers to accessing care.

You’ll plan and deliver engagement events, focus groups, and feedback sessions, using learning to improve outcomes for parents and babies. Whether it’s supporting service improvements or developing new ways to connect with underrepresented groups, your work will have a direct and lasting impact on family wellbeing in Rotherham.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of engagement with patients, carers, and public networks so their views shape perinatal services
  • Build meaningful relationships with diverse communities, ensuring representation across all groups
  • Liaise with equality and diversity leads to create inclusive opportunities for involvement
  • Facilitate feedback using Care Opinion and other outcome measures to drive service improvement
  • Plan and coordinate meetings, events, and focus groups that allow families and carers to be heard
  • Analyse data and feedback to inform proposals that enhance perinatal care
