Requirements
- Experience in working with children or young adults with complex medical and behavioral needs is ideal
- Ability to handle both children’s unique needs, especially with behavioral management and anxiety triggers
- Basic awareness of gastrostomy and epilepsy symptoms for emergency response
- Comfortable assisting with daily living skills, including cooking, time management, and budgeting
- UK driving license and personal vehicle required; non-smoker preferred

About the Role
This role involves providing personalized care to two young girls with specific needs, Poppy and Emily. Both enjoy various activities such as going to the cinema, baking, and visiting quiet spots like the seaside. The Personal Assistant (PA) will support them in their preferred activities, encouraging social development, life skills, and fostering a safe and trusting environment. The PA must be attuned to both children’s preferences, including avoiding loud or busy places, and be prepared to assist them in managing daily skills like money handling and timekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Poppy and Emily during community outings and leisure activities
- Coordinating with their mother on activity planning to enrich their experiences
- Teaching and assisting with daily living skills, including cooking and personal hygiene
- Monitoring the children’s well-being, especially in managing epilepsy signs and other medical alerts
- Providing comfort and calm in environments where children might feel anxious or distressed
