Salary Details

This part-time position offers 20 hours per week, focused on evenings and weekends. Additional earnings may be possible with overtime opportunities, subject to arrangement.

About the Role

This role involves supporting an independent individual with cerebral palsy in their daily life and recreational activities. The client values creativity and enjoys activities like arts, reading, and theater. Assistance with personal care, household tasks, and medical needs will be required. The successful candidate will play a key role in empowering the client to maintain their independence while adding a sense of fun and companionship to their routine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care, including safe transfers using a hoist.
  • Provide meal preparation and ensure dietary requirements are met.
  • Manage light domestic chores, including cleaning and shopping.
  • Safely administer medications, including catheter care.
  • Facilitate and participate in social and leisure activities like theater visits and bingo.
  • Maintain open communication with the client, ensuring their needs are met respectfully and professionally.
