Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 with BTEC in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
- Registered with GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
- Minimum 12 months’ clinical experience in hospital, community pharmacy, PCN, or ICB
- Great communicator both in writing and face to face
- Team player who can also take the lead when needed
- Up for continued learning and professional development

26,530 to 29,114 per year based on NHS Band 4 scale, with annual reviews and pension benefits included
About the Role
This isn’t your average dispensary job. You’ll be hands-on in the community, helping patients manage their medication at home and in bed-based care. Whether supporting a virtual ward, assisting reablement care, or guiding prescribing decisions, this job blends technical skill with real human connection.
As part of a supportive team, you’ll reduce medicine waste, improve safety, and prevent unnecessary hospital stays. The role touches lives daily—especially for older adults, people with complex conditions, and their carers. It’s work that really matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Support medicines optimisation for home-based and intermediate care services
- Work alongside GPs, therapists, nurses, and social workers in multidisciplinary teams
- Provide medicine reconciliation and administration support to patients
- Deliver safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical care in the community
- Contribute to training care staff and providers around safe medication use
- Spot polypharmacy issues early and flag safeguarding concerns related to medication
