Job Description:
Successful candidates for this position must hold a PT Assistant license in the State of California. As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Southern California Orthopedic Institute, you will be responsible for treating patients and assisting the Physical Therapist, Director, CRM, physician, and others in tasks related to patient rehabilitation. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Treat patients using accepted modalities and procedures to progress them toward meeting functional goals per the treatment plan of care.
  2. Assess responses to treatment and make necessary changes/progressions as warranted.
  3. Communicate patient findings accurately to the physical therapist to determine the direction of treatment.
  4. Safely deliver treatment considering the physical requirements of the job.
  5. Complete all documentation on the day services are rendered.
  6. Meet minimum productivity standards set by CRM.
  7. Attend a minimum of 30 contact hours per year of continuing education.
  8. Fulfill duties assigned by the PT or Director.
  9. Market the CRM to outside referral sources as needed.
  10. Assure adherence to SCOI and CRM policy.
  11. Assist in the training of clinical and support staff.
  12. Complete tasks on the computer utilizing various software programs.
  13. Maintain licensure as issued by the State of California.
  14. Maintain good standing with the Office of Inspector General and California PT Board.
  15. Maintain current CPR certification.
  16. Other duties as assigned.
