Salary Details
You’ll start on Band 5 with a salary ranging from 30,420 to 37,030, depending on experience.
About the Role
This is a solid start or next step for any podiatrist who wants to work in a real-world, people-first environment. You’ll be handling a broad mix of foot health conditions. From assessments to wound care and nail surgery referrals, every day is different. It’s hands-on work that really lets you develop your critical thinking and clinical reasoning while also giving patients the tools to manage their own care.
Expect autonomy. You’ll manage your caseload, treat complex and routine pathologies, and be part of a team that respects your input. For new graduates, there’s structured support. For experienced practitioners, there’s room to lead and shape how care is delivered in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out autonomous assessments with confident clinical judgment
- Build patient-led care plans focused on long-term self-management
- Deliver hands-on treatment and wound care in community clinics
- Refer patients for nail surgery or specialist pathways when needed
- Encourage positive behaviour change through empathy and clear communication
- Keep detailed records and contribute to audit and service development
- Participate in team training and knowledge sharing
