Requirements
- Degree in Software Development, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent proven experience
- Skilled in Power Platform tools including PowerPages, SharePoint, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, and Dataverse
- Comfortable working in Agile teams, with experience across project lifecycles
- Confident leading small teams, managing competing deadlines, and presenting technical ideas
- Clear communicator with solid planning skills and attention to detail
- Digitally curious, self-motivated, and focused on quality outcomes
- Experience in automated/manual testing and test process integration is a plus
Salary Details
The salary range is 37,898 to 45,637 GBP annually, depending on skills and experience.
About the Role
This isn’t just any development job. They’re reimagining a national system that’s critical to labs across the UK. The current commercial platform is being phased out, and you’ll help rebuild it using Microsoft’s Power Platform suite. The work you do here will set the tone for future digital development across the Trust.
Along the way, you’ll bring your Power Platform expertise into an experienced dev team, sharing what you know, shaping how they build, and guiding how they grow. This is a rare chance to own something meaningful from the start.
You’ll work closely with clinicians, product managers, and analysts, gathering insights, designing smart solutions, and building software that matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business and clinical needs into scalable Power Platform solutions
- Collaborate with analysts and users to define specs and streamline workflows
- Design and build with NHS assurance, governance, and security standards in mind
- Help train and guide junior developers and team members unfamiliar with the platform
- Contribute to realistic planning and testing strategies
- Present and explain ideas to stakeholders with clarity and confidence
