Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs (A–C) including Maths, English, and Science
  • Organised and tech-friendly – basic IT confidence and time management skills

  • Open to Welsh language – not essential, but great if you speak it

Salary Details

Starts at 70% of Band 4 NHS salary in year one, then 75% in year two, under Annex 21. You’ll earn while training, with clear increases as you grow in the role.

About the Role

As a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician, you’ll join a training programme built to fast-track you toward becoming a registered professional. You’ll rotate through key areas: ward-based work, dispensing for in-patients and out-patients, and pharmacy operations like purchasing and distribution. With real support from experienced mentors and a supportive work environment, you’ll grow your knowledge of medicines, safety practices, and patient outcomes.
