- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

About the Role
As a Primary Care Development Officer, you’ll be the vital link that keeps healthcare services running smoothly. You’ll gather, analyse, and interpret data from GP, dental, and optometric practices to ensure compliance with legislation and policies. You’ll also support audits, procurement, and contract management processes—helping the department make evidence-based decisions that directly improve patient care.
Each day brings a mix of analytical work, operational support, and collaboration with managers across the board. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and tangible results from their effort.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyse data to monitor service delivery and compliance across primary care.
- Support audits and quality checks to identify areas for improvement.
- Draft and maintain contracts, service specifications, and key documentation.
- Assist with procurement and project management activities.
- Provide operational support to ongoing programmes within the Primary Care Department.
- Present findings and recommendations that shape healthcare service delivery.
