As part of this dynamic team, you will leverage the latest analytical and statistical modeling techniques and visualization tools, such as R, Python, Data Bricks, and Power BI. The role involves producing innovative and insightful intelligence to support decision-making and strategic planning across the Trust. You will also provide translational support, ensuring stakeholders can effectively understand and act upon complex health intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Analytical Support for Operational Teams: Working closely with the Corporate and Operational teams to provide analytical insight on future pressures related to key deliverables, particularly in alignment with the NHS plan and locally commissioned targets.
  • Capacity and Demand Analysis: Analyzing the capacity and demand for each clinical service, identifying areas under pressure, conducting gap analysis, and supporting the development of option appraisals.
  • Demand, Resources, and Throughput Modeling: Providing detailed analysis to model demand, resources, and throughput, ensuring an appropriate balance of service provision and identifying variances to facilitate discussions around service change, provision, or development.
  • Predictive Modeling: Assisting the Trust in interpreting data and providing judgments on actual performance, using predictive modeling techniques to evaluate the ability to meet operational plans.
  • System-Wide Transformation Support: Contributing to the Trust’s wider transformation goals by fostering a culture of compassionate and inclusive leadership and engaging staff in evidence-based strategies.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

Qualifications

  • Essential: Statistical qualification/certification and evidence of personal development or management qualification.
  • Desirable: Experience with AGILE methodologies and a degree or relevant analytical development experience.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Essential:
  • Ability to communicate complex and multi-faceted informatics issues.
  • Ability to make informed judgments on complex informatics problems without precedent or where there are conflicting opinions.
  • Collaborative approach and effective team working skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
  • Experience with SQL Server.
  • Senior stakeholder management and engagement.
  • Desirable:
  • Power BI experience.
  • Experience with modeling and predictive analysis.
  • Knowledge of statistical applications such as SAS, R, etc.

Other Requirements

  • Essential: The ability to undertake shift work, including out-of-hours, weekends, and public holidays.
