About the Role
This isn’t your average mental health role. You’ll join a new team within a new prison, helping to shape how mental health services are delivered from the ground up. Whether you’re providing urgent care, developing structured interventions, or collaborating with colleagues on complex cases, you’ll have the freedom and trust to bring your full clinical experience to the table.
The prison population will include up to 1,500 individuals focused on rehabilitation. Your work will directly support that mission, giving people the mental stability they need to move forward. It’s demanding, yes. But it’s also meaningful.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full-spectrum clinical assessments and interventions for a diverse range of patients
- Create and lead person-centred care plans in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team
- Navigate the unique challenges of prison settings while maintaining high clinical standards
- Support the mental health needs of individuals with complex presentations
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to workforce development and supervision
- Drive quality improvement projects that actually make a difference in service delivery

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Certificate of Sponsorship
Applications from job seekers who require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.
